About Aaron
My Journey into Massage
While working in the asbestos industry as a laboratory technician, I took the advice of a friend and signed up to a two day introductory massage course – by the end of the weekend I knew I’d started a new chapter in my life. I’d always had a deep interest in physiology and biomechanics and as a teenager I’d considered physiotherapy as a career but life took me down another path. However, I’m incredibly fortunate that, after finding Remedial and Sports Massage, things came full circle and I had a second chance to follow my calling. Being in a position to earn a living by helping others in a way that I find deeply interesting and rewarding has revitalised my own quality of life, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients experience similar benefits.
Qualifications and Expertise
I graduated with Distinction from the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB) and was awarded a Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage (Level 5). After graduating, I studied Gait Analysis and Assessment which I now teach as Advanced Workshops at BCMB.
In 2010 I earned a Diploma in Life Sciences from The Open University which served as a good foundation when studying for my RSM diploma.
I work with clients of all ages and across a wide range of fitness and ability levels. My training and experience is well suited to effectively treating acute injuries and long-term chronic pain, alike. I have a particular interest in helping clients to improve their posture and general mobility as I’ve found that that is often to key to maintaining long-term, pain free, benefits. However, every client is unique and that is reflected in the personalised treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs.
My Approach
My expertise spans working with both sports-focused individuals and clients experiencing chronic pain or age-related conditions. I have a particular interest in enhancing posture and refining movement mechanics, integral aspects of my approach to soft tissue therapy.
Each massage treatment session is crafted to meet my client’s unique goals, whether it is:
- Alleviating muscular tension
- Supporting the body’s healing process after injury
- Promoting better movement and flexibility
Our Services
A dedicated runner myself, I also bring a first-hand understanding of fitness and body mechanics, enriching my approach to massage therapy with personal insights into physical health and performance.
Recently, I have expanded my skillset to include gait analysis, enabling me to assess and optimise clients’ movement patterns to help prevent injuries, enhance alignment and promote long-term wellbeing. I also teach introductory workshops on gait analysis at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork, in Clifton, Bristol.
